The Hella Marine LED Surface Mount Oblong Courtesy Lamp is a surface-mounted LED courtesy light designed for both indoor and outdoor marine applications. Its oval, low-profile design provides elegant, efficient, and safe lighting for stairs, hallways, cockpits, access areas, compartments, and walkways on board. Thanks to its fully sealed construction and the use of high-quality materials, it offers excellent resistance to the marine environment and a long, maintenance-free service life.

This light incorporates energy-efficient LED technology with Multivolt™ electronics, compatible with 12 V and 24 V DC power systems. Its power consumption is extremely low, at just 0.5 W, allowing multiple units to be installed without significantly affecting the vessel’s power consumption. Additionally, it maintains constant brightness regardless of the typical voltage fluctuations in marine electrical systems.

The housing features an elegant trim made of polished AISI 316 stainless steel, which is particularly resistant to corrosion in marine environments. The lens is made of technical acrylic material that is UV- and impact-resistant, ensuring excellent durability even under conditions of prolonged exposure to sunlight, humidity, and salt water.

Its IP67 protection rating ensures complete protection against dust and temporary immersion in water, allowing it to be installed in areas exposed to splashes, rain, or frequent washing. Thanks to its fully sealed design, it is suitable for use in both dry and wet areas of the boat.

Installation is quick and easy thanks to its surface-mount design. It requires only a small hole for the wiring, avoiding large holes in bulkheads or panels. It is supplied pre-wired with approximately 120 mm of marine cable and stainless steel fasteners for mounting. It also includes interchangeable end caps for a clean, professional finish.

Depending on the version, it can be used as general courtesy lighting or as a specific step light. The step light versions incorporate specially designed optics that project light downward at an approximate angle of 30°, effectively illuminating the walking surface without dazzling the crew.
