In the nautical world, rope work is the discipline or knowledge that studies the art of tying knots, their types and different applications.

A rope is the name given to any of the ropes used on board a boat, and which, depending on their thickness, consist of two, three or four strands. On Nautichandler we have different types of ropes for different varieties of use.

Cranks are necessary to operate a winch, which consists of a toothed end which is inserted into the winch itself.
A winch consists of rotating cylinders or drums that facilitate sheeting, hoisting sails and more. In order to use them, a winch handle inserted in the upper part will be necessary.

Cleats are devices that allow you to make a line firm in a similar way to a cleat, allowing it to be reefed very quickly.
