Harken T2 57mm Soft-Lock Ratchamatic Block

The patented T2 Ratchamatic is Harken's newest block that incorporates the style and smooth-locking system of the T2 line. This heavy-duty block weighs only a few grams thanks to its composite fiber-reinforced side plates, a hardcoat anodized aluminum sheave, a lightweight smooth-locking mechanism, and a ratchet mechanism with minimal moving parts. All T2 blocks are lashed or spliced ??through the load center of the block, reducing the load on the side plates and acting as a safety backstop for the system. The lashing allows the ratchet to be adjusted close to the deck. The lashing or splicing provides various options for securing the block at the exact height and maintaining a fair lead. Pressure on the line activates the ratchet mechanism, which seamlessly switches from freewheeling to ratcheting mode. Unloaded main and jib sheets unfurl freely around buoys, and asymmetrical spinnaker sheets release instantly when gybing. T2 Ratchamatic blocks are clearly labeled with high-contrast directional markers for proper reeving and trimming. Use them for mainsheet and spinnaker systems on beach boats, dinghies, and sportboats. A polyester-sheathed Spectra® line is included.
