<p><strong>Teakdecking Systems Ultra Thin Joint Tape</strong> is an <strong>ultra-thin joint tape / bond-breaker tape</strong> designed to improve the performance and durability of caulking joints in teak decking systems.</p>

<p>For optimal sealant adhesion, it is essential that the joint works <strong>face to face</strong>. This prevents adhesion to the bottom of the groove and allows the sealant to perform with the correct elastic behaviour.</p>

<p>The use of a <strong>joint backing / joint bottom</strong> is recommended for any groove depth equal to or greater than <strong>8&nbsp;mm</strong>. This ensures the joint works face to face, increasing its <strong>flexibility</strong> and reducing the risk of premature joint failure.</p>

<p>For best results, it is recommended to install a <strong>bond-breaker tape or joint base</strong> in the rabbet before caulking.</p>

<p>Ensure the rabbet is <strong>clean and free from contaminants</strong>. A dirty rabbet can negatively affect sealant adhesion and compromise joint performance and service life.</p>
